Prisoners of War Diaries, August 1914–January 1919

These diaries depict the experiences of Allied Prisoners of War (POWs) who were held in camps in East Africa, Turkey, and aboard a German prison ship. Some prisoners were captured in battles that are detailed in other volumes within this collection, such as Ypres, Loos, Béthune, and the Somme. Westminster Training College War Bulletin, 1914–1919

Founded in London in 1851, Westminster College trained teachers destined for Wesleyan Methodist schools. Upon the outbreak of the First World War, teaching was disrupted as staff and students volunteered for service. The Westminster Training College Monthly War Bulletin was established and distributed to students, staff, and alumni.
