Minutes of several conversations, 1869-1932
The full title of the first volume in this series reads: Minutes of several conversations between the Methodist ministers in the connexion established by the late Rev. John Wesley, A.M., at their hundred and twenty-sixth annual conference begun in Hull on Thursday, July 29th, 1869. Published annually, these minutes are generally referred to as the "Minutes of the Methodist conference", following the title of the Minutes of the Methodist conferences from the first in 1744, and with which these partially overlap. As a result an abridged version of the proceedings of three of the four annual conferences (1870, 1876, 1877 & 1884) missing in this series can be found in the earlier series. Read more →
Minutes of the Methodist conferences, 1744-1824 (rev. ed.)
The full title, Minutes of the Methodist conferences from the first, held in London, by the late Rev. John Wesley, A.M., in the year 1744, is identical to that of the earlier edition, begun in 1812. All volumes were at the Wesleyan Conference Office in Castle Street, Finsbury, London. The principal textual difference between this and the earlier edition is in vol. 1, with considerable additional matter according the 'Advertisement' at the beginning. Apart from the addition of an index at the end of each, the other four volumes appear to differ from the earlier edition solely in terms of typographical arrangement, each covering the same conferences up to 81st held in Leeds in 1824. The full title for each volume is given as Minutes of the Methodist conferences from the first, held in London, by the late Rev. John Wesley, A.M., in the year 1744, published at the Conference Office on City Road, London, until vol. 15, when the Office relocated to neighbouring Castle Street. The series comprises twenty volumes which, from vol. 17 onwards, overlap with the Minutes of several conversations between the Methodist ministers in the connexion established by the late Rev.
