Notes
National and local press cuttings, arranged chronologically, which document attempts to impede the progress of the marches organised by Sir Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists through London's East End, then home to much of the capital's Jewish community.
The Battle of Cable Street in 1936, involving up to 100,000 protesters, marked a major blow during the politically turbulent 1930s, from which Mosley's fascists never recovered.
Also available on CD-ROM (ref. D97609).
