Notes
From 1896 through to 1902 political parties, pressure groups and ad hoc bodies in Britain and elsewhere were engaged in a war of words on British policy in the Transvaal. Over 2,000 different leaflets, pamphlets and journal articles were printed and distributed in order to influence public opinion on the most pressing problem of the day.
Introduction by Baruch Hirson.
From the Johns Burns Library, Trades Union Congress and the Royal Commonwealth Society Library.
