Notes
The early history of the UMCA, which was formed in 1858 and merged with the SPG in 1965, is reflected in the correspondence and papers. They give a vivid account of the hardships the missionaries suffered and their courage, determination and hope in the face of advertsity.
Introduction by Ian Pearson, Archivist, USPG.
