Covers 1895-1901. Initially edited by the Rev. A.R. Stegall of the Church Missionary Society station at Mahoo ("Happy Land"), Taveta, this was the first periodical published on the East African mainland. It was issued quarterly and included, in addition to information on local church affairs and educational developments, more general topics both on events at other C.M.S. stations, Roman Catholic and Lutheran Missions in East Africa and events within the British and German Protectorate of East Africa.
