Notes
Covers 1782-1788, 1822-1840, 1842-1843. Published in Calcutta, it began as a rival to Hicky's Bengal Gazette. It was used as a medium for publishing official advertisements and became particularly influential under the editorship of Dr John Grant, 1822-29, before eventually merged with the Bengal hurkaru and chronicle.
