Collection: Marxist History and Historians in the 20th Century Volumes Dona Torr's research notes & other materials for 'Tom Mann and His Times' (ii), 1890-1957Dona Torr originally intended Tom Mann and His Times to be a two-volume biography of British labour activist Thomas Mann. Volume I was published in 1956, but Torr’s death in the following year meant that Volume II never appeared in print. This volume contains Torr’s research notes and background materials for the book. Amongst other things, the documents include Mann’s correspondence with various figures in the labour movement and his notebooks from the 1920s and 1930s.
