This volume contains Dona Torr’s writings on the state. Drafts and notes for three planned books are included: The British State, which was eventually published by Lawrence & Wishart in 1958; The State, which focussed on the thinking of Russian anarchist Peter Kropotkin; and an untitled work exploring the symbols of state power in Britain. 

Note: We have not been able to establish the dates when these drafts were compiled.
