Collection: Slavery, Exploitation and Trade in the West Indies, 1759-1832 Volumes CorrespondenceThis volume includes a range of unbound letters and letter books dated from 1759 to 1813. Some of the correspondence touches upon social matters, but the majority of them relate to the running of the Phillips' estates in Jamaica and to trade in the West Indies more generally. The earlier items are addressed to Nathaniel Phillips in Kingston, whereas the later items belong to the period following his return to Britain.
