British Online Archives is offering a unique opportunity for Jisc member institutions to make significant savings on its most popular primary source collections.
For the second year running, British Online Archives is taking part in the Digital Archival Collections Group Purchasing Scheme.
Group purchasing is based on a simple market principle: the more you buy, the more you save. The scheme, which runs from November to July, guarantees a minimum saving of 20% off the list price of all the products on offer, with the potential to expand to beyond 30% depending on uptake. All products are a one-off purchase, with no recurrent platform or hosting fees, and prices are set in a transparent way.
We have made 20 collections available on the framework for a discounted price. These have been selected based on their relevance to the subjects that are currently being taught and researched in British universities. All are multi-disciplinary.
David Sarsfield, the Head of Library Sales, commented:
“Providing Jisc member institutions with the opportunity to purchase our collections at significantly discounted rates—waving access fees in the process—further demonstrates our commitment to granting access to high quality resources at an affordable price.”
These sentiments were echoed by a spokesperson for Jisc:
“By working in collaboration with publishers, we are making these collections of primary source materials more affordable, so researchers, teachers, and learners can all enjoy access to a wider range of resources, and libraries can achieve more with less.”
So, why not join an ever-growing number of universities from across the globe who enjoy access to our unique content.
