Contains lists of the General and Field Officers, in order of their rank in the Army; of the officers in the regiments of Horse, Dragoons, and Foot, together with an alphabetical index of officers. Lists of the Royal Regiment of Artillery, the Irish Artillery, Engineers, Independent Companies, and Marines; this includes lists of those on full, and on half pay, with dates of their commissions as they rank in each Corps, and in the Army. The Governors, Lieutenant-Governors, and other officers of His Majesty's Garrisons at home and abroad, with their allowances. These records also include a list of successive colonels, with the uniforms allocated to each of their regiments, from the new order for clothing. These lists cover all of the years from 1770 until 1779.
